Control Resonant Launches September 24: What to Know Before You Play

CONTROL RETURNS WITH A NEW HERO
Remedy Entertainment is preparing to bring players back into the unsettling world of Control with Control Resonant, launching on PlayStation 5 on September 24.
This time, the story follows Dylan Faden, Jesse Faden’s younger brother. After years spent under the control of the Federal Bureau of Control, Dylan finds himself in a broken version of Manhattan where reality has become unstable and paranormal threats are everywhere.

A LARGER WORLD BEYOND THE OLDEST HOUSE
The first Control took place largely inside the mysterious Oldest House. Control Resonant expands beyond those walls with wide city zones, rooftops, distorted streets and areas where gravity itself seems to fold the world in impossible ways.
The game is not described as a fully open-world experience. Instead, it uses focused areas that players can explore through main missions, side stories and optional activities.

DYLAN’S ABILITIES CHANGE THE WAY YOU FIGHT
Dylan has more mobility than Jesse. He can double jump, dash through the air and unlock traversal abilities that help him reach rooftops and difficult locations across Manhattan.
Combat also moves closer to the enemy. Dylan’s paranormal powers are designed around fast melee attacks, dodging, executions and powerful combinations. Players can customize his weapons and abilities through different upgrades, status effects and skill paths.

A FAMILIAR BUT DARKER CONTROL STORY
Control Resonant keeps the strange science-fiction and psychological horror atmosphere that made the original game memorable. The Hiss return, while new disturbing enemies known as the Resonants create larger and more unpredictable encounters.
Players will also learn more about Dylan’s relationship with Jesse and his difficult past. Optional missions explore his memories and give more context to the people affected by the paranormal crisis.
